The Dr. Robert C. Nielsen Supervisor of the Year Award Nominations Due: December 31st, 2024 Background and Purpose: The Dr. Robert C. Nielsen Supervisor of the Year Award is a prestigious recognition to honor a supervisor. The nominee has shown exceptional leadership, dedication, and effectiveness in guiding ND university counseling interns, specifically those in clinical mental health counseling or school counseling programs, as well as ND pre-licensure counselors. A nominee for this award should be someone who consistently demonstrates a high level of excellence in their supervisory role marked by compassion, caring, and commitment to optimism. Nomination criteria: Nominations are open for supervisors actively supervising clinical mental health counseling or school counseling, including ND pre-licensure counselors, internship/practicum supervisors, or retired supervisors who have previously held such a role. Nominations are restricted to individuals who have direct supervisory experience with the nominee; therefore, only current or former supervisees can submit a nomination. Each nomination must include a letter from the supervisee outlines their experiences and reasons for nominating their supervisor. This letter will play a crucial role in evaluating the nominee’s qualifications and outstanding contribution as a supervisor. |
